Exclusive: AC Milan join Man Utd in tracking emerging Bundesliga defender

The player joined the Bundesliga outfit in January 2017 for a €10 million from RB Salzburg and has featured 12 times so far. Upamecano is described as being strong in the air as well as being technical and was an integral part of the French side that won the U-17 European Championships in 2015 being named in the team of the tournament which prompted RB Salsburg to sign him for a mere €2 million from Ligue 1 side Valenciennes.
Milan will face stiff competition from Manchester United who have been following the player closely for 2 years and are preparing a bid for him this January. Given the player's performances it is likely that it will take many million Euro's in order to convince Leipzig to part ways with their French jewel.
