AC Milan, Montella hopes to keep seeing improvements in weeks to come

AC Milan beat Austria Vienna today by a 5-1 score line at the San Siro as Vincenzo Montella spoke to Sky Sport after the game. Here is what he had to say on the matter as his team have now progressed to the next phase of the competition as group winners:

" It was a positive night for us, now we can really focus on the Italian Serie A as we would like to climb back up a little. We knew that we had to progress to the next phase this was a minimal objective of ours. Now all the focus will be on our upcoming games in the Serie A, starting with Torino this week-end. We have been doing a little better of late that's for sure but games against Juve and Napoli did slow us down. I now have a better understanding of my players and where they fit on the pitch. Kaka? He was a great player for Milan and he is such a pure young lad. It was a real pleasure to meet him today. Fassone? He seemed happier tonight (laughing), we have to continue like this. We played well tonight and even if we gave up an early goal, we responded in the right way".
