AC Milan, Ricardo Rodriguez: ‘I was close to joining Inter’
13/10/2017, 10:05
AC Milan defender Ricardo Rodriguez talked to La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of the Milan derby clash.

“It will be a special game. When I was a kid Zurich was my favourite club and derbies against Grasshoppers were the most awaited by fans. The stadium was always full, fans were noisy, I like when the atmosphere heats up.”

“Perisic will be a tough opponent. He is a pacey player with great technical skills. I like his mentality, sometimes we go out together here in Milan. I will mark him, let’s hope he won’t have one of his days.”

“I came close to joining Inter. My agent talked to them but when AC Milan made us an offer, we reached an agreement very quickly. I am happy to play the derby for AC Milan.”

“It’s hard to say why we are not getting the results we want, some days are good, some days are not good. Maybe new young players have too much pressure on their shoulders and are failing to cope with it.”
