Barcelona 'have no chance' of signing Man United, Juve target

Barcelona have “no chance” of landing Marco Verratti, according to a well-informed journalist.

The Manchester United, Barca and Juventus target is considered to be one of Europe’s premier midfield talents.

The Italian star has been pictured holding a copy of El Mundo Deportivo, the front page containing the headline linking him to the Catalans.

He is also reported to have travelled to Ibiza recently, and met with Lionel Messi. He is also alleged to have asked PSG to let him leave.

The deputy editor of the well-informed Sport, Albert Masnou, confirmed that the Parisians will be adopting a hard line.

“PSG have barely opened their mouths since the Verratti case exploded.
“They’ve said that they won’t sell, we’ve had a comment from [sporting director] Antero Henrique, those are the only reactions we’ve seen to the player’s pressure.

“PSG know how to act in these situations, to form a block and not express themselves.

“They learned that from Real Madrid, when they tried to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s right-hand man reminded me: ‘How will it finish with Verratti? Just like the attempted signings of Thiago Silva or Marquinhos.’

“In other words, Barcelona haven’t got a chance”.
