Chelsea have a chance to sign Juventus wantaway

Chelsea may have made some progress in the race to sign Alex Sandro.

According to the Telegraph, the Brazilian is ready to jump ship and join the Pensioners.

He was one of three players who, according to Dagospia, asked to leave Juventus recently, as part of an ongoing feud between the senators and a number of foreign players.

The Brazilian was already pursued by Chelsea last summer, when offers of up to 60 million were being made in the press.

According to the Telegraph, an offer of €55 million could make a difference as early as January, though the Bianconeri would have to find an alternative for him.

Sandro, who was signed for €25 million in 2015 by Juventus, flashed some serious promise last season, in which some were talking him up as one of the best full-backs in Europe.

He’s not really been on form as of the summer, however, and needs to step it up if he is to make the World Cup, where he is still only a fringe player.
