EL review: AC Milan-Austria Vienna 5-1, here are the player ratings

AC Milan took on Austria Vienna tonight in the Europa League at the San Siro. In the end, Montella's club won by a 5-1 score line which means that they will be progressing to the next round as group winners. This is good news for the rossoneri as this season has been a struggle in the Italian Serie A. Fassone and Mirabelli acquired many new players this summer as they invested over 200 million euros to try and improve the team. Yes they mostly acquired young players who will become household names in years to come but even so, many fans were expecting far more. If things haven't gone well in the Serie A, at least Milan have been doing well in the Europa league. Let's take a look at how this game unfolded.

Austria Vienna actually scored the first goal of the game as Bonucci was credited with an own-goal. Milan's response came moments later as Ricardo Rodriguez tied the game up at one thanks to a great assist from Borini. André Silva, who has been on fire in the EL, put Milan up 2-1 as he converted Ricardo Rodriguez' free-kick. Just before half-time, Milan's other young rising star scored as well as Patrick Cutrone found the back of the net. The rossoneri turned this one around quickly as they then added two more goals in the second half thanks again to André Silva and Cutrone, who scored one additional goal each. This was a good response from Milan after their 2-1 loss to Napoli last week-end.
