Genoa, in crisis, to announce Perinetti as new executive

Giorgio Perinetti is officially the new general manager of Genoa. This was announced by the Rossoblù at a press conference tomorrow at 11:30.

"I am fortunate because I do the job I like and find myself in series A will be a satisfaction. We will fight to stay in Serie A and find serenity again. I believe that Genoa is in a crisis of results and not play and it is already a good starting point, I do not feel anymore about it, "Perinetti told Radio Crc.

Most recently, Perinetti was the sporting director of Venezia FC. He left his post last week due to a contract dispute after leading the club to Serie B this season.

Genoa are surprisingly facing relegation early this year due to a poor start. Despite having a star goalkeeper in Mattia Perrin, and perhaps the brightest young Italian talent in 16-year-old Pietro Pellegri, Genoa sit mired in second-to-last place with only two points.
