Man City, Spurs target: I want to stay at Real Madrid

Isco has confirmed that he wants to stay at Real Madrid.

Recent reports in Spain have the Tottenham and Manchester City target signing an € 8 million-a-year deal at the end of the season, in order to offset the chances of his leaving on a free. His deal expires next summer.

Chosen ahead of Gareth Bale yesterday to start in the Champions League final win over Juventus, the Spaniard rewarded Zinedine Zidane’s faith in him with a good second half performance.

Speaking after the final, the midfielder was adamant that he wasn’t going anywhere:
“I hope to sign a new deal soon,” the former Malaga star revealed.

“There is no better place to play, or to be. This is the best club in the world”.

This confirms what he had said recently, telling Marca:

"Don't worry Madrid fans, I'm staying. I'm incredibly happy for winning my first La Liga at home, but we must keep our foot on the accelerator because the most important match of the season is upon us."
