Man United to tempt Spurs striker with €189m offer
The England international has had a red-hot start to the season, scoring eleven goals in Premier and Champions League action so far.
Jose Mourinho is a long-term enthusiast, and the Red Devils tried to sign Kane two seasons ago for €45 million, but were immediately told no.
The Special One believes in partnering Lukaku and Kane to create a duo that can dominate Europe.
Spurs, who have seen Kane end up in Real Madrid’ sights of late, are set to offer the 24-year-old increased wages of €166.000 a week in order to keep him in North London.
An Old Trafford source confirmed: “The club had asked about Kane’s availability a few years back.
“They were told by Spurs there was no chance. Jose is a big fan and is very interested."
