Goals galore for the scousers as they bag a wonderful seven goals away from home.
It’s their first champions league win in the group stage and a big result as well. It was two goals each for the forwards, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain also got his first Liverpool goal after a poor start at his new club. Coutinho and Alexander Arnold also added to the scoresheet.

It didn’t take long for Liverpool to break the deadlock as Firmino scored in the 4th minute, by a simple tap in to give the lead to Klopp’s side. They continued to play with confidence and achieved their second goal just 10 minutes later by Coutinho, who smashed the ball into the net from fifteen yards. The third goal came quicker than the second as Mo Salah made it three after a sloppy defensive mistake by Maribor where Firmino gained the ball back and slid it in to Salah who finished it off. Salah got his second goal and Liverpool’s fourth in the 40th minute by a tap in as Moreno crossed it to him into the danger zone.

The second half went underway and Liverpool weren’t finished with the goals as Firmino got his second goal of the match. It came from a free kick as Coutinho crossed it in and Firmino headed it in. In the 86th minute, Oxlade Chamberlain also gained his first goal for Liverpool which will definitely boost his confidence after all the criticism he has been getting lately. Alexander Arnold finally scored the last goal in the 90th minute to wrap it all up by shooting from 30 yards and by luck he scored as the goalkeeper for Maribor, Handanovic was standing in the wrong position.

Next up for the reds is a trip to Wembley stadium on Sunday against a strong Tottenham team. Winning this game will be crucial if Liverpool want to remain contenders for the premier league.
