Milan keen on unhappy Barcelona winger

With Andrea Conti on the shelf for several more months, AC Milan are looking towards Barcelona for a replacement. Aleix Vidal has grown increasingly unhappy with his lack of a role with the Blaugrana, and may see a move to Milan.

The Spanish player has the ability to play both as right back and right wing, but has seen only 216 minutes of La Liga action this season. Furthermore, manager Ernesto Valverde has chosen to leave Vidal out of the squad altogether multiple times, most recently against Olympiacos in Champions League yesterday.

Last season, despite multiple injuries and only appearing in six La Liga matches, Aleix Vidal scored twice and assisted on two others. AC Milan may see this as an opportunity to fill Conti’s gap, and help the Spaniard resurrect his career.

Mirabelli had already considered bringing Aleix Vidal to the Rossoneri back in June, but opted for Andrea Conti instead. Now, it appears he’ll have another opportunity in January.
