Napoli are interested in signing Federico Chiesa, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
The Roman paper claims that he would be worth 40 million, and the Azzuri’s interest was mentioned by owner Aurelio de Laurentiis, who recently confirmed as much on Monday.
The Partenopei president said that he “had asked the Della Valle brothers for him as recently as twenty days ago”. Chiesa, a breakout star at Fiorentina last season, has already scored two Serie A goals this campaign, and is liked by Chelsea and Inter, too.
We had revealed this summer, in fact, that the 19-year-old had ended up on Napoli and Inter’s radars.
Though he has met with opposition, De Laurentiis has asked Fiorentina to inform him if there is a change in their stance. They current consider the winger to be untouchable, especially after selling Federico Bernardeschi last summer.

What lies in this Serie A starlet's future?
