Why Max Allegri could end up at Bayern Munich next season

Juventus boss Max Allegri is being linked with the Bayern Munich job at the end of the season. The Italian tactician is regarded as one of the best managers in Europe so much so Arsenal made an attempt to hire him last season before the contract extension of Arsene Wenger.

Allegri is contracted with Juventus until 2020 and at the moment is the better paid manager in Serie A.

There are, however, a few reasons why Allegri could be tempted to join Bayern at the end of the season.

This, in fact, is the fourth campaign of Allegri in charge of Juventus and the Italian manager has never hidden that he’d like to have new challenges in the future. An experience abroad is strongly wanted by the Old Lady’s tactician who talked to Arsenal just a few months ago before signing a contract extension with Juve.

Another reason why Allegri could move to Bayern is his agent Giovanni Branchini, one of the most powerful agents in Italy as well as one of the best intermediaries in Europe.
Branchini is on very good terms with Bayern as he negotiated Douglas Costa’s Juventus move in the summer and helped the Bavarians to hire Ancelotti in 2016.

The Italian is only focused on Juventus at the moment but he could become the manager of Bayern Munich next season. The likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel have also been linked with coaching Bayern whilst Jupp Heynckes will be appointed as the Bavarians’ interim coach in the coming hours, according to reports in Germany.
