Struggling Serie A outfit AC Milan’s CEO Marco Fassone has revealed in a recent interview that rossoneri boss Vincenzo Montella and club sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli don’t have a strained relationship and it isn't just the manager whose job is at risk

The last few weeks have witnessed Montella’s position at the helm of affairs at San Siro become more and indefensible, with three consecutive league losses and the draw against AEK Athens in the Europa League doing the same.

In an interview with La Stampa, Fassone opened up about a lot of issues surrounding the club. Speaking of Montella, he said: "Montella has been chosen by us and has all our confidence."

Fassone admitted that another defeat could jeopardize the Italian’s position on the bench. He said:  “We have to work all in the same direction to find a way out. There is no spark, the goals that can change the season, but I'm convinced we will do it."

The Italian also played down rumors of a breakdown in the relationship of Montella and Mirabelli. He said: "We're all on the same side."
