Atletico Madrid tried signing Icardi two seasons ago
Icardi has been at loggerheads with Icardi over the last two months, ever since he was removed from his captaincy at the club. Yet to sign a new contract and all but set to leave in the summer, Icardi is now back with the first team.
Gazzetta dello Sport say that Atletico are currently interested in the player, but they are yet to make any contact. But the outlet also states that the Los Rojiblancos tried signing him two years ago.
