Chelsea call Juve as Blues make final decision over Higuain future

Chelsea and Juventus directors have been in touch over the last few months to discuss the future of Gonzalo Higuain and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Argentinean is set to return to Turin at the end of the season.

Chelsea, in fact, have decided to send El Pipita back to Italy in the summer. Higuain hasn't convinced the board and with Maurizio Sarri who could also leave the club at the end of the season, Higuain is not going to remain in south West London.

Chelsea have a € 18 million option to extend the player's loan deal for one more season and an option of € 36 million to make the player's move permanent but the Blues are not going to activate any of these two clauses.

Higuain is set to return to Juventus where, however, there are no long-term plans for him. The club will try to sell him in the summer but the Bianconeri need an offer of at least € 36 million if they want to avoid a capital loss.

Right now, neither Chelsea nor Juventus want Higuain but it is the Old Lady who needs to find a new buyer now.
