Chelsea-Leicester 0-1 FT: Vardy's goal sinks the blues

Chelsea are set to host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League this afternoon, as Maurizio Sarri looks to keep up his unbeaten home record in the Premier League.

  • Chelsea have lost only once in their last 12 Premier League meetings with Leicester City (W9 D2). That defeat came at the King Power Stadium in December 2015 while they were reigning champions, as the Foxes went on to lift the trophy that campaign.
  • Leicester have failed to win any of their last eight visits to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in all competitions (D2 L6), last winning there in September 2000 (2-0).
  • Only versus Man Utd and Arsenal (both 16) have Leicester lost more Premier League games than against Chelsea (14).
  • Chelsea are unbeaten in 12 Premier League home games, keeping a clean sheet in each of the last three games at Stamford Bridge in the competition (W7 D5 L0).
  • Leicester City are looking to avoid three consecutive Premier League defeats for the first time since a run of five losses in February 2017.
  • Leicester City are winless in their last 10 Premier League games in London (D4 L6) since a 3-2 win at West Ham United in March 2017.
  • Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has been directly involved in 17 goals in the Premier League this season (eight goals, nine assists), more than any other player.
  • Chelsea’s Eden Hazard has provided an assist in each of his last four Premier League games (five assists). The only Chelsea player to do this in five consecutive Premier League games is Gianfranco Zola in December 2002.
  • Eden Hazard has scored 99 goals for Chelsea in all competitions and could become the 10th player to reach 100 competitive goals for the club.
  • Pedro has been directly involved in more Premier League goals for Chelsea in 15 games this season (six goals, one assist), than he was in 31 appearances last season (four goals, two assists).

Confirmed line-ups:

Chelsea: Kepa, Alonso, Rudgier, Luiz, Azpilicueta; Kovacic, Jorginho, Kante; Hazard, Pedro, Willian

Leicester: Schmeichel, Chilwell, Morgan, Maguire, Pereira; Ndidi, Mendy, Choudhury, Maddison; Vardy, Albrighton
