Chelsea transfer news: Blues serious about Icardi, Sevilla make Morata offer, Juve in €30m bid

Chelsea are looking for a striker in the January transfer window and according to the Daily Mirror, Mauro Icardi is now on top of the Blues’ shopping list. The Argentinean striker has a € 110 million release clause that can only be triggered in the month of July but Roman Abramovich seems to be determined to offer just as much to sign the Inter star now.

The Nerazzurri are in talks with the player’s agent and wife Wanda Nara for a possible contract extension but an agreement is still far from being reached.

Inter are not likely to let the player leave in the current transfer window but the Blues are determined to take a top striker to the Stamford Bridge as soon as possible.

The likes of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata may not be enough for Maurizio Sarri to reach a Champions League placement. According to Ansa, the Spaniard could leave in January with Sevilla that have made an official offer for the former Juventus star.

The Italian news agency reports Sevilla have made a € 5.5 million loan offer adding an option to buy in the region of € 40 million.

Meantime Juve are still monitoring Callum Hudson-Odoi. The English starlet has a € 30/40 million price-tag and the Daily Mirror suggests Juventus could beat Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund to signing the 19-year-old whose contract will expire in 2020.

According to our sources, however, Bayern Munich remain in pole position for the talented winger who wants more game time at Stamford Bridge.
