Exclusive: AC Milan inch close to signing Roma, Fiorentina target

Calciomercato exclusively understand that AC Milan have moved closer to signing Roma and Fiorentina target Luis Muriel on an initial loan deal, as they scour the market for a striker in January.

The Sevilla man, who is 27 now, has now fallen out of favor at the Andalusian club after playing in the FIFA World Cup this past summer. He has made only six appearances so far, out of which only has been a start. He has scored once, assisting once.

We understand that Milan have made their first moves to sign the striker and are leading the race for the Colombian, as the chase is now heating up.

While Roma and Fiorentina are also interested in securing his services, Milan have already held talks with Sevilla over a possible deal. Since Andre Silva is already on loan at the Spanish club, his departure could act as a decent make weight in a possible deal.

Sevilla have given a go ahead for an initial loan deal before selling him on a permanent next summer and talks are now ongoing with Muriel's agent Alessandro Lucci.
