Exclusive: Inter, the promise for the De Paul deal and AC Milan's competition

Inter has been admiring the player for some time. Because the name of Rodrigo de Paul is on the list of Nerazzurri scouts since his days at Racing, before the player started the swing of his career with ups and downs. In Udinese, however, he has now become a leader, assist-man and this year also a scorer. In short, the time to move for de Paul has arrived and Inter director Piero Ausilio has personally begun his strategy to lure the player to the San Siro.

At the moment there is no offer or advanced negotiation, primarily because Inter know that there is important competition: Napoli and AC Milan (Leonardo has already met the player's agent) who are in the lead, with concrete interest from Spain as well. But also because Udinese's demands are very high.

These days, however, Inter wanted to test the ground again. They promised Udinese that they will not attempt to sign de Paul in January and will evaluate a real negotiation possibly only for the summer. In return, they want to be updated by the club and de Paul's agent in case offers from other clubs arrive.

The goal is to avoid surprises and be able to fit in at the right time, should the Nerazzurri consider it appropriate. A lot will depend on economic conditions. To date, Udinese want 25/30 million euros for the player, but it is early to judge and above all, the other clubs interested are very lively regarding the player, especially Milan and Napoli.
