Fassone spied four journalist to find mole at AC Milan

Former AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone hired a private investigation company earlier this year to spy four Italian journalists in order to find the mole who was providing them information about the club, La Repubblica reports.

The name of the company contacted by Fassone is Carpinvest srl and the journalist spied by Fassone are Enrico Currò and Luca Pagni of La Repubblica, Carlo Festa of Il Sole 24 Ore and Tobia De Stefano of Libero.

The agency has confirmed that some of their private investigators had been hired by Fassone to spy the journalists. Carpinvest contacted Elliott last summer to solicit the payment for their service and that’s how the current directors of AC Milan knew.

The four journalists were followed and spied from the 19th of February until the 2nd of March 2018 but they were not the only ones to be monitored by the private investigators hired by Fassone.

Some employees of AC Milan were also spied. Notebook, tablet, and smartphones of AC Milan directors were checked (with the authorization of people involved)  and Telecom was asked to check the phone records of Agata Frigerio, Giuseppe Mangiarano, Giovanna Zian, and Angela Zucca, four employees of the club.
