From Spain: Inter keen to replace Atletico Madrid man with Manchester United captain

Serie A giants Inter Milan indeed are looking to send Sime Vrsaljko back to Spain in an attempt to sign Antonio Valencia on a free transfer in the upcoming summer window.

Mundo Deportivo state that Inter are not happy with the Croatian and may not exercise the option to sign him permanently for a fee of 25 million euros. If they send him back, the idea will be to free up some funds and sign a much cheaper replacement.

Antonio Valencia, whose contract at Manchester United is expiring at the end of the season, is someone Inter are closely looking at in an attempt to replace Vrsaljko and make their financial situation better.

Vrsaljko's fitness issues and his inability to get his fitness right is one of the reasons why the nerazzurri are frustrated with his player, despite them being very keen on signing him permanently ever since he was Sassuolo about four years back.

Valencia could be one of the three free agents that Inter sign, with Diego Godin one of them, Arjen Robben possibly the second and the Ecuadorian winger turned right-back the third one.
