Juventus news: injured Mandzukic to skip Atletico clash?

Juventus will have to do without Mario Mandzukic for the first two games of the year. The Croatian striker picked up a muscle injury in his left thigh yesterday and Max Allegri fears that the player could skip the first two games of 2019 against Bologna and AC Milan.

According to Il Corriere di Torino, however, Mandzukic could have picked up a muscular lesion that, if confirmed, could force him to skip much more games including, probably, Juventus' Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid on the 20th of February. The Croat will undergo medical tests today to learn the nature of his injury and his possible recovery time.
