Napoli reach agreement in principle for Genoa sensation

Serie A giants Napoli have reached an agreement in principle to sign Genoa youngster Christian Kouame.

The Ivorian's rise to prominence in a mere matter of months in the first division has been remarkable, following his arrival from Citadella this past summer. Since then, Kouame has made 19 appearances in the league, scoring thrice and assisting just as many times.

Corriere dello Sport report of an agreement in principle between the partenopei and Genoa for the 21-year-old Kouame.

The outlet claim that Napoli are looking to send the player back to Genoa in order to complete his development there, with a fee of about 25 million euros now agreed between the two parties involved.

While the base fee will be 25 million euros, Napoli could also look to send two players of theirs on loan to Genoa in exchange, with Adam Ouanas and Amin Younes the two names in the hat for that. Both the players have struggled for gametime under Carlo Ancelotti.
