Paper talk: Abramovich wants Sarri out of Chelsea, Gazidis adopts the Arsenal model for AC Milan
The club didn’t like some decisions taken by Sarri through the season and his strong personality is not very popular among the board.
Sarri didn’t like Chelsea’s decision to play a friendly game in Boston before the Europa League final against Arsenal and he clearly said that. The club didn’t like his reaction and that’s one of the reasons why the Italian is not well seen in South West London.
Media have been criticizing the former Napoli boss for the entire season and Chelsea have never moved a finger to defend their manager, another proof that Sarri is really loved by the owner and the rest of the Blues’ board.
In case of Sarri’s sacking, Roma and AC Milan would be ready to welcome him. Baldini has already approached the former Napoli man trying to take him to the Italian capital while Gazidis is waiting for the end of the season before making the first steps.
Meantime Sarri is getting ready for his first International final, it could be his last game as Chelsea manager.
AC MILAN TO FOLLOW ARSENAL MODEL
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan will adopt the Arsenal model starting from next summer. Rino Gattuso will be sacked and many under-25 players will be brought to Milanello in order to develop them and, possibly, sell them at a higher price.
AC Milan’s short-term objective is to stick to the Financial Fair Play and build a sustainable structure that can help the club to auto finance itself. The Rossoneri will not spend big money for big players in the summer but they will sign young players that can develop at the club.
Players like Sandro Tonali and Stefano Sensi are among the top transfer targets for next seasons. Experienced players like Christian Zapata, Riccardo Montolivo, Ignazio Abate and Andrea Betolacci are set to leave the club and be replaced by new young players.
