Possible reason behind Pogba’s failed Real Madrid move revealed

Paul Pogba joined Manchester United from Juventus in summer 2016 completing a € 110 million move that – one year ago – was the highest price-tag ever paid for a footballer. The Frenchman, however, had also been linked with a move to Real Madrid but his transfer to the Bernabeu did collapse somehow.

This report of Don Balon, as quoted by Ilbianconero, could be an explanation of why the former Juve star failed to move to Real Madrid.

According to the Spanish news outlet, Pogba features in a five-man shortlist of players that Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t want at Real Madrid.

The Frenchman features in the list alongside the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic (with whom Pogba shares the same agent, Mino Raiola), Robert Lewandowski, Arturo Vidal and Dani Ceballos who does not get along with the Portuguese having only joined the Bernabeu hierarchy this past summer.

Pogba is not a player Cristiano Ronaldo wants at the Bernabeu and his veto could have prevented Pogba from joining the Merengues.
