Report: Higuain hands in Chelsea transfer request

AC Milan played against Sampdoria yesterday in the Coppa Italia as they won by a 0-2 score line thanks to goals from Patrick Cutrone (two times).

Gonzalo Higuain failed to score as his future has been a talking point of late. After the game, Milan coach Rino Gattuso said this on the matter: ' Higuain? We have a good understanding and we are frank between one another. As I have said, it is normally the player who chooses where he wants to go. You can't force someone to stay on so let's see. Higuain is currently a Milan player and we are happy about this but let' see what the future holds for him. Higuain seems happy here but let's see...'. 

HIGUAIN REPORTEDLY HANDED IN TRANSFER REQUEST - According to Sky Sport (via Calciomercato.com), Gonzalo Higuain formally requested a move to Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea. Even so, it won't be easy since Higuain is on a 18 million euros loan at Milan as the rossoneri have the option to make a move permanent come summer time for 36 million euros. The rossoneri would first have to find a replacement for him as they would not let an important player like Higuain leave without a valid alternative. Alvaro Morata might be an option but Milan and Juve will have to discuss what to do in the coming days...
