Revealed: The Serie A midfielder Roberto Mancini encourages AC Milan to sign

Italian national team coach Roberto Mancini has spoken to the Gazzetta dello Sport, in an interview in which he spoke on several topics – including the state of AC Milan, a club coached by Rino Gattuso, a close friend of Mancini’s.

Speaking on new Milanese acquisition Lucas Paqueta, Mancini said: “I do not know Paquetà well, but Milan does not mind that either.”

Then, Mancini spoke on Milan’s interest in Sassuolo midfielder Stefano Sensi, seemingly advising Milan to pursue him: “And if [Gattuso] takes Sensi, he has one who can play both in front of the defence and inside.”

Sassuolo are reportedly not interested in selling Sensi to Milan – with Milan’s approach being that they can only realistically sign him on loan with an option to buy, due to financial restrictions, and this is a formula that the Neroverdi are not interested in listening to.
