Roma make contact for a frustrated Miranda at Inter: the details

Serie A giants Roma are reportedly keen on signing Inter Milan defender Miranda, who is growing frustrated with the reduced role he is getting at the nerazzurri.

Miranda has now being forced to be satisfied as a third-choice centre-back at Inter, with Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij now the first choice defenders at the club.

Corriere dello Sport report of contact between Roma sporting director Monchi and the entourage of Miranda, who still wants to be play regularly at centre-back for a club despite being 34.

While Flamengo want Miranda, so do Porto and West Ham, Roma feel that the performances of Ivan Marcano have been frustrating and he could well be sold in the ongoing winter transfer window.

The giallorossi will only want to sign Miranda on an initial loan deal this month, but could look forward to signing him on a permanent basis in the summer if things go well.

The Brazilian earns about 3.5 million euros a season and his current Inter deal runs out in the summer of 2020. He has made only seven Serie A appearances this season.
