Transfer news: Blow for Manchester United as Roma work to eliminate release clause
Pellegrini's current contract expires in the summer of 2022 and is worth around €2m per season, yet both parties are willing to extend the deal, and, in the process, eliminating the release clause in his contract.
Manchester United have been reportedly interested in Pellegrini, dating back to when Jose Mourinho was still head coach at the club. However, with a release clause gone, Man Utd's task suddenly becomes a lot more difficult and the Italian will look to be relatively out of their grasp.
