Transfer news: Madrid's plan to sign Genoa starlet wanted by Juve and Barca

Krzystof Piatek was one of the ones-to-watch in the first half of the Serie A season, scoring an impressive number of goals and keeping Genoa fighting against relegation. Piatek has attracted the interest of a number of top clubs; Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Napoli and Inter Milan all reportedly interested in the Pole's services.

According to what has been reported by Spanish web portal Onda Madrid, Madrid president Florentino Perez has a plan to sign Piatek - one which involves an audacious request to loan the player from January; then proceeding to buy the player permanently in the summer.

This request, however, will likely be laughed off from Genoa; with the club significantly smaller than the bidding club and the Genoans certainly interested in at least retaining Piatek until the summer, when they can source a proper replacement and fetch as much money as they can from the forward who has lit Serie A on fire.
