Transfer news: MLS boss admits 'everyone in the USA' wants Roma's De Rossi
06/01/2019, 18:40
Roma captain and central midfielder Daniele De Rossi has dedicated an impressive amount of time to the Italian capital club, the 35-year-old having spent 18 years with the club since joining as a youth player from Ostia Mare in 2000.

Since then, the Italian has played over 100 times for the Italian national team and over 400 times in Serie A for the Giallorossi. However, his time with the club looks to be at an end - and there is interest from the MLS especially in the veteran Italian midfielder. Portland Timbers head coach, Giovanni Savarese, said in an interview that "In the USA, everyone would like Roma's number 16, I have no doubt. He has the perfect characteristics for Americans, players of his kind are liked very much."
