Transfer news: Roma weigh up €50m summer move for Torino star
13/01/2019, 18:35
According to what has been reported by the Corriere dello Sport, Roma are weighing up a move for Torino captain and forward Andrea Belotti in the summer – as they seek to find an heir to Edin Dzeko. Dzeko is not getting any younger and therefore the Giallorossi have identified Belotti as the man to replace him in the future.
Roma have placed an emphasis on signing Italian players in recent years and could seek to add yet another to their roster. However, Belotti will not come cheap for Roma – who could have to fork over around €50m to Torino president Urbano Cairo to secure the side’s captain.
Nothing on the January front as far as this deal is concerned but all eyes will be on the summer and whether or not a deal will come to fruition then. Belotti remains at Torino until the summer – but does the capital beckon?
