Watch: Samp-Milan commentator announces Saponara ‘goal’ too early
13/01/2019, 15:00
During the second half of Sampdoria-Milan last night, RAI Sport's commentator Gianni Cerqueti got ahead of himself as he announced a Saponara 'goal' too early.

Thanks to a great pass by Caprari, Saponara was through on goal, left with only Reina to beat. However, the Italian failed to hit the target, something which the RAI commentator first didn't acknowledge. 'There is the goal', he said, before adding 'almost'. This was, of course, picked up by the viewers and quickly after it was on social media.
